Front B7 brake calipers with carriers and pads

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Selling a pair of used Audi A4 B7 front calipers. They come with carriers/brackets and pads with lots of life left (although I'd recommend new pads, so they may not be worth shipping). I will include new bushings and pad retaining clips.

    US$100 plus shipping.

    Edit: new pictures added

A pretty good deal. If not for the fact I already have B7 fronts (and rear), I'd jump at it.

Any real benefit over the B6 calipers? If so I might jump on these on Friday when I get paid.

Definitely. I put full B7 brakes onto my B6. They are essentially the same calipers as on S4. The B7 rotors are 320mm vs 288mm on the B6 1.8T.

    And yes there's a difference... :)
B6 on the left and B7 on the right:

If you can find B7 rear brakes, go with that as well. The stock B6 rear rotors are 245mm, the stock B7 rears are 288mm.

Noticeable difference, definitely. Part of that could be from the fact all of my rotors and pads were about shot (not to mention, the DIY drilled rotors). ☺

Bump for new pics I took today. While they look rough, I don't see any leaks around pistons.

The one in the pic above comparing with B6 caliper looked just as rough and after sandblasting and powdercoating looks great as you can see.

I wonder if the B6 stock brake are the same as the B5.5 Passat brakes....

Tempting, most tempting. It would mean putting my B6 A4 wheels on a VW, as the 16" wheels currently on the Passat would never clear the calipers, which would also mean a new set of tires....

That depends on the wheel type. B7 was available with 16" factory wheels. Steelies would not clear, but some alloys depending on offset and spoke design would.
    See here: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=511770

Or if you have steelies, just add spacers. It would be cheaper. But then you will want to powdercoat these and show them off behind some nice 18" alloys.

The Passat has 16 inch Motegi's, not sure of the offset. I had the B6 17" factory wheels, then upgraded to the 17" B7 double five-spoke (both ET45).

I guess I could always test fit the smaller wheel on the Audi first.

Though, my wife might go for the old Audi wheels. She thinks the black Motegi's (on dark blue car) looks too gangster.
