I have a 97 a4 1.8 with a salvage title. I want to buy another b5 to swap the motor into. My question is, do I need to buy a 96-99 because of the preface to facelift change? I know some of the connectors are different from preface to facelift. Headlights and what not. Are the main connections different? Like the body harness and what not? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hay boss I think you will be ok the loom has a bit of play. But connectors can be changed just unpin it and swap to new plug :)
