Buying Another Q5 TDI

My wife has a Passat TDI and we've decided to go ahead and replace it. She loves my Q5 TDI so I looked and found a lease turn in located in OK with 21k miles on it. It's monsoon gray metallic with black sport seats. They overnights the paperwork to me and they'll be shipping the Q5 as soon as everything is complete.
It has a front license plate holder installed, but WV doesn't require a front plate. Has anyone removed the front plate mount and replaced it with the smooth filler? She wants to replace the interior wood trim with the carbon or brushed stainless pieces, tint the windows, add the DeAutoKey leds, and some vcds coding. She's already offered to go ahead and take mine in exchange for her Passat until it arrives.

I wasn't aware you could still purchase a TDI Q5, but what do I know. Yes, you can replace that front frame with a filler:

Barry: are you guys doing the buy back for the Passat 2.0 TDI? I currently own a 2.0 TDI JSW/Q5 TDI, and I'm still deciding if I should go with the buyback or the fix for the 2.0...

We're doing the buyback on the Passat. They're giving us almost $5k more than we paid for it. We've had a lot of issues with it in the past few months and want to get rid of it.

I've never driven a Q5 TDI and I'd really like to.

Hardest changeout on the interior pieces will be the center trim piece.

I think that's only for new models.

They can sell used ones but not CPO or new. It would be sold as is unless it's under the mileage warranty.

It has 21k miles on it so it's under the factory warranty.

I've already purchased the front plate filler from Dan. I fell asleep early last night watching tv and when I woke up I couldn't get back to sleep so I went on a shopping spree online.
I ordered the interior LEDs, console tray, pedals and dead pedal, sim card for Audi Connect, and a few other little things. They're supposed to let me know when it ships and when it'll be delivered.

Can u share where you bought the SIM card from. I need to get it too.

Also will suggest
1) reverse leds from deAutoKey - error free ones
2) remote trunk lid auto close module from rob
3)audi door logo rings
4)front honey comb grill or a SQ5 grill...

I bought the SIM card and an 8GB SD card for $1 from FreedomPop. I have a SIM card from them in my Q5 and it works great. You get 200MB per month for free.
I need to buy two of the modules. I thought about the RSQ5 grill, but I may wait until winter is over.

Thanks for the link just bought another card and sent an invite to my other email account. Doesn't hurt to have an extra card.

Use the link on this page. Get the SIM card and follow the directions on the card that it comes with. Cancel the plan and it'll keep you on the free 200MB plan with the option to earn more data.

I was told you had to sign papers in person and that Audi Dealers aren't allowed to send papers to people and ship out cars. Did this change?

They overnighted all of the papers to me to sign and send back. It's all complete and I'm waiting for it to be delivered.

How are you getting your FreedomPop Sim to work...I purchased one from them for .99 but it does not activate. Called FreedomPop and they say that it will not work for in autos. How exactly are you setting up your Audi Connect to work with Freedompop? I have a 14 Q5 but cannot get it to activate.

I just popped mine in and used the freedompop domain in the MMI and it worked for me

Follow the directions on the card that it comes with. Change the settings on the MMI.

It'll be delivered Friday. I received the FreedomPop SIM card for it today. The grill filler I purchased from Dan will be here tomorrow. All of the parts I ordered are shipping from Poland and China so it'll be a while for those. I'm trying to find a flat bottom steering wheel. The one that was available in the classified section sold before I could get it.

Activate it on ur phone and then put it in the car after a day or so.
