    02 4.2 low compresson on one cylinder

    Hey on an 02 a6 4.2 what is low compresson on only one cylinder likely to be? rings? valves? walls? It was testing 30 and i added abit of oil, not enough and it came up to 60. Rings?

    Buying the engine this weekend. Will perform a leak down test soon after that.

    Really hoping that new rings on the one cylinder will fix the issue. Will keep this thread informed if I remember.

    Two straws worth of oil to be exact. Probably less then that actually made it in. Thus assuming the whole ring wasn't coated in oil cause it's a v8 and slanted.
