    Maintenance Schedule Vs Golf R

I was looking at the maintenance schedule here in Canada and it looks different from the golf r. I have a 2015 S3. The reason i was looking at Golf R schedule is that I have a VW dealer here in my city, but not an audi dealer, so the work will be getting done at VW.

    Example

    Golf R DSG Flush - 60,000km/120,000km
    S3 DSG Flush - 55,000km/115,000km

    Golf R spark plug replacement - 90,000km/180,000km
    S3 spark plug replacement - 55,000km/115,000km

The spark plug replacement seems a little odd to me, 35,000km/65,000km difference seems like a huge difference for cars that are mechanically the same under the hood.

    Any insight?

The manual is confusing because for some reason Germans can't use simple columns. I checked my manual and the 55k service is for flex fuel I'm pretty sure that's doesn't apply to you.

    Hey Silverbane....

I received an amendment or an update to the DSG maintenance schedule. If I recall it is indeed at the 60K mark. I'll verify and take a photo of it. It was a letter from Audi Canada.
Funny that you make mention of the location of a VW dealership as there is one located within walking distance of my home vs driving 20KM's and fighting traffic to get to the Audi dealership.

Regardless I perform oil changes between the Audi dealership schedule (audicare) so I purchase the oil and filter from the VW dealership.

Apologies for the horrible grammar as I'm typing this from work - lol.

I opted to not get audi care just because I only have the VW dealer in town and they will not do audi care at VW. I am more confused about the spark plugs difference. 5k on the transmission is small, but a 35k difference on plugs is huge.

This is the supplement document. Actually I was wrong, the first DSG service is at 55k as mentioned in the document.

I have emailed audicare to ask what the deal with the difference is.

Long story short, the answer I got was they are different cars and each company sets their own maintenance schedule.

Anyone else has insights. It looks like Audi just wants more service money.
