    Question VCDS setting for couple of things

    Hi all,

    I did some searching but what I found didn't work so figured I would ask to see if anyone knows a way of making it work or the correct info.

    I have a 2009 (B8) Avant and I cannot get 2 things to work via VCDS.

    1st one.)

    I want to disable the beep you get when you open the door and either the lights are on, or the ignition is on. Iv'e tried a couple of things including the below but I do not have this option when I look....

    Disable "Lights are on" Warning
    [09 – Cent. Elect.] [Coding - 07] -> Long Coding Helper -> Byte 5
    Bit 3 - Set to 0 to disable "lights are on" warning when you open the door.

    I also have set the country to Germany 00 as some people said that would work but it does not. The beeps still continue.

    Can any help with this?

    2nd one.)

    Ambiance Lighting

    I have used the below settings and can not get it to show up in the Symphony radio... I activated the options is mentioned but nothing.

    Step 1

    Enable Adjustable Ambiance/Background lighting (Foot Lighting)
    There are two stages to this, one is enabling the Ambiance lighting and the second is activating the menu to control the brightness.
    Step One: Enable Ambiance Lighting.
    [09 – Cent. Elect.]
    [Coding - 07] -> Long Coding Helper -> Byte 16 Bit 6 - Set this bit manually to “1” - (1 = active)

    Step 2

    MMI Basic (Symphony/Concert radio) - (NON-MMI - 2G/3G):
    Code:
    [56 - Radio]
    [Coding - 07] -> Long Coding Helper -> Byte 8 Bit 7 - Interior Light Settings active - (1 = active)

    Any help with this would also be appreciated.

    Please feel free t move this if this is not the right place for it.

    Thanks

    Regarding the first one, it's been discussed a few times and I think the conclusion is that it can't be disabled via VCDS, HOWEVER! If you press the "clear" button on the right steering wheel stalk it'll mute the chime.
