B8.5 rain tray cover fasteners?

Does anyone know what fasteners are used to hold the rain tray cover on? In case I'm not using the right terminology, it's the large black plastic piece covering the battery and washer fluid filler cap:

I noticed this week that the cover on my Allroad is only being held on by gravity. There are two threaded posts poking through holes on the ends:

Anyone know what fasteners go on here? Or is it actually supposed to be floating free?
