Winter tire installation in central NJ

I bought a set of winter tires (Blizzak LM-32 255/35-20) for my MY16 S6. I'm planning to have my summer performance tires pulled off my OEM rims and the winter tires mounted, balanced and installed. In the spring, I'm planning to get another set of rims to re-mount my summer tires. Any recommendation for a great shop in central NJ (East Brunswick area) to have this work done for a good price? Also, what level of service would you recommend for my tire size (traditional balancing vs road force balancing vs force matching) and how much does it cost at the recommended place? I called a couple of places but would like to get a recommendation from a fellow Audiziner to decide where to go and what service to choose.

I travel 2hrs roundtrip to Woodys Automotive for all my wheel/tire needs. He's one of the few who have a Hunter Auto 34 machine and Hunter Road force balancer. Touchless, never has damaged a single wheel, worth the drive for me to have my wheels come back 100%. He's just over $100 for 4 dismounts/mounts. He's just south of Ledgewood, Nj area.

Feel free to give us a call - our Mountainside location is probably the closest to you. We have touchless mounting equipment so your wheels are in good hands. (908) 789-0212 or [email protected].

Have you considered going to your local dealership? Princeton Audi and Bell Audi will mount/balance your customer supplied tires for 125$ + tax.

You can obviously try to support local enthusiast shops like Drive Auto or Redline Speedworx as well. Another alternative would be using TireRacks installer locator and read the reviews.

Thanks for the advise. I'll likely bring it to my dealership (Freehold Audi). They do road force balancing with force matching for $40 per tire (-10% with coupon) and told me they don't do a Spec/Actual scan for that kind of work (just for all service appointments and warranty work).

Yes, I was pleasantly surprised to find the dealership to be cheaper. I had them mount and balance Blizzak WS80's on my 16' S4.

Since you're using your stockers as winters, I'd hold off switching until avg temps dip to < 40s.
