Nexon Motors Carbon Steering Wheel Review

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hi guys-

So I've got this thing that thick custom steering wheels will do for me. I did something similar in my 911 too. After looking around the web I settled on a new steering wheel by a company called Nexon Motors. I'm pretty sure they're whole online presents in on eBay. Anyway After looking through what they had to offer I found one I really liked the look of. It's a thicker version of the stock sport wheel with carbon fiber top and bottom. The sides are perforated leather. Nexon will build just about anything you want custom. This one was perfect with the red stitching and red 12 o'clock marker. Goes with my red and carbon themed car nicely. It's a beautifully made thing this. Sturdy, well stitched and very glossy and deep carbon fiber. The thickness is just perfect too. Nice and meaty. The S4 isn't known for great steering feel but this new wheel helps with that I think. And it just looks the business. Really brings up the sport in this car. You're probably wondering how much. Well, these things are not cheap. There's a core exchange that needs to take place too. So there's an outlay of cash here for sure. For me at least it's worth it. I dig the look and feel of this thing. Happy to answer your questions. Here's some pics...

A quick something search for Nexon Motors leads to their eBay page which shows pricing in the $1800+ range for a steering wheel.

Nexon wheels have been around for a while now. In my option they're the nicest ones, but as Steve pointed out, they'll cost you the most money as well. They used to have an official website but I don't know what happened. http://www.nexonmotors.com

Theres already a custom wheel thread for those of you who want one at half the price.

Looks really good. I wish my steering wheel had red instead of white stitching which quickly gets dirty and loses its clean color.

Have to agree with ASyme here... While the CF wheel was not cheap, have to say the quality was exceptional. Tried originally to go with DannyDeez guy in Poland, but he was not doing CF earlier this year when I ordered mine. I also wanted some custom CF paddle extensions made as well, and Nexon was up for the task. Anyway, couple of pics for those that are interested...

Nexon made my wheel about two years ago and while I like the wheel a lot, still don't think it was worth the money honestly.

That red leather wheel looks great. It's all about making the interior a little more custom and personal. These things are crazy money but to me it's worth the coin. The funny thing is I bought this car to be my "winter beater". I think I'm modding it more than the 911. Really love the car.

You damm rich people and you're winter beaters. I wish I could afford an S4 as a winter beater. LOL. Reminds me of a friend of mine, someone owed him like 50k and he was like Oh well. I'm just gonna let it slide cause it's not worth my time. I was like - show me that fool and I'll kill him, his mama and his kids for half. LOL. Nice wheel though but seriously overpriced.
Life has taught me never try to make something idiot proof, they'll simply come up with a better idiot.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.
I have neither the time, nor the crayons to explain this to you properly.
