I bought a new 17 S5. Is it a B9 or a B8.5

How do you tell the diff? everything on google talks about the S4 models.

What engine does it have? A supercharger or a turbo. If its turbo it is the new model, i dont think they are out in the US yet though.

Yeah it's a B8.5. A simple check of the engine and transmission would have told you what it is. You do know what engine it has, right?

I have the supercharger. The turbo engines weren't out when I bought this, according to the dealer. Where could I cross reference the B# to engine?

No need to cross reference anything. Supercharged engines belong to the B8 and B8.5. Turbocharged engines belong to the B9.
