    My storage lid in the rear armrest broke on my 2010 Avant. Throwing this out there to try to find one as my searches on ebay, craigslist and here have gone without any real result. I have found beige for $80, but just can't seem to find black for any sort of decent price.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Plastic was super brittle. The left hinge broke off, the right hinge broke after the first one.

    All the little pieces you see are the "fins" that were on the hinges. Being a mechanical engineer in the plastics industry, it was only natural for me to play with the fins to see just how brittle the plastic was.... Answer was very haha.

    Keep me posted if you find one. The pop-out cup holder in the rear armrest of my avant is broken so perhaps we can part out the armrest if you find one.

    Could you please share the link for beige one that you found, I was looking for one, as the one on my B8 also broke.

    Bump The one Lambda had has a stripped screw and he can't get it out.
