No lights help. New guy here

First of all Hello I'm new Audi owner Lexus guy for a long time and owned a 02 996 until last month. Need some guidance. My headlight, taillights and instrument cluster lights stop working last night on the way home. The DRL did work during this time. Happened again on start up this morning. They didn't go out just never came on. Parked for about an hour got back into take it to my indie and then everything worked again, normal. At first I thought it was a fuse but fuses don't fix themselves.
Another issue I think unrelated. The drivers door won't lock. I can here it cycle when I press unlock from the FOB but no sound when I press lock. Any help greatly appreciated.

Could there be something covering your light sensor? If your lights are on "auto" and something is messing with the sensor, that could explain why lights aren't working?

No idea on the lights but the door not locking is the door lock actuator. It will need to be replaced. Mine is doing the same so I've been using the key to lock and unlock manually the old fashioned way until I have time to fix it.
