This bumper is so sexy. I've seen it on A4 B6 Cab with a front end conversion using this bumper, wrapped in metallic blue.

There's no way one can defend the old chunky bumper. It reminds me of a nerdy school kid with a mono-brow. That over some slick as anything precision eyebrows is the way to go

That bumper sanded down and primed, then wrapped in a decent vinyl with maybe carbon on the bottom fins would look just as good as any other aftermarket bumper. It's got big grill on the front, with RS style abs plastic mesh and oversized grills on the lower part. Obviously it looks shit now but that was a given.

I'm all for people doing what they want with their car but at least keep your reasoning sound. The middle yellow audi appears to be a genuine b7 rs4 cabriolet. No matter what you do your B6 will never be that.

Now besides that your bumper does not have any of the details that either of the other 2 photos you posted have hence the expanded steel looking grills. Yes it's close to the rs4 mess but it will always lack in the built up moldings around fogs and such. My opinion is to enhance the look of the car while still keeping true to what it is and will always be. With that said if you want a rs4 look it would be far better to start off with a b7 a4 than a b6. But that is just my opinion so do as you wish but don't be upset when others call you out for not agreeing with your car.

Look competitive? What does that mean? Cars from different eras and manufactierers look different. That's what makes them..different. Trying to make one look like the other never ends well.

Arnie, it's nothing to do with the general condition - if that's all it was, that could be rectified. I've been wrenching on cars for well over 30 years, and I recognise a "work in progress", that would look good once it's all done, when I see one.

In this case, that bumper is terrible. Even once it's all prepped and painted, polished to a glass-like sheen, it'll still be a nasty bumper. I would rather rock my B6 with just the front rebar, or nothing at all, than slap that monstrosity on. At lease anyone seeing my car would understand, that it's had a smash, and simply needs a replacement front bumper.

The one you've posted here is way beyond redemption. Any attempt to revive it, prep and paint it, is ike putting makeup on a pig, or gorilla. It'll always be ugly.

Still, it's your car - if you truly like this bumper, ignore all the comments you've had on this thread, and rock it.

Something else to consider with that bumper is that I’m pretty sure it requires a rather extensive hood modification to make it fit.
