Question Both Adaptive Lights Defective after rain storm. What do I do?

Had a massive rain storm in Eastern Canada this weekend and there were ponds. Driving home I drove through a few ponds and the splashes were massive I would say but the water was spraying up the sides of the car. I get home and I have the warning that my adaptive lights are defective and I look at the housing of my lights and both are thick with moisture inside them. Did I just ruined both my headlights from driving home in the rain?? and does Audi's warranty cover this or am I going to have to drop like 3-5k on new headlights...

No I think you may be okay. Let the moisture evaporate and you should be okay. I had an issue with my adaptive light and it turned out that one of my bulbs was starting to go bad. So luminescence plays a big factor in the self test and alignment when you turn on the car. I believe the headlights have some sort of a valve that is used to allow moisture to escape. Check with your dealer on what they recommend.

The headlights are covered up until a certain mileage or life. Not sure if it is the 12k one year or 40K 4 year.

Should certainly be covered under warranty, particularly if it's a new model within warranty miles/time.

It's 2012 but we just purchased the extended platinum warranty coverage they offer for after your normal warranty ends.

Both of my headlight lenses started to degrade. took it in and they tried everything to have the original and my platinum warranty cover it. No luck. Then I spend a couple of months complaining to Aoa and they finally agreed to pay for half of it.

They just told me that both head lights are full of water. I'm like how is that possible if they're sealed and they're saying if Audi won't cover it under the platinum warranty then it'll be like $6000 cdn to replace. I'm not interested in spending that much a 2012 model. The car is probably valued at 30-40k range now. That's some wild shit. Time to go to Audi Canada if it isn't covered. What did you tell them?
