I'd have to disagree here. I have this system and there is definitely drone, you'll get drone with any aftermarket system especially cheaper ones like this that aren't valved. That being said to some people it's not a big deal or they barely notice it. I love the sound but certain rpms it is annoying.

On a side note I was able to purchase this system brand new from a seller on ebay for less than $950..

What some people consider drone might be different then another. To some it's just exhaust notes. I've had a few different non-valved exhaust systems over the years and have not gotten drone on most of them, being that valved exhaust just started becoming popular because some factory models are valved. That said I don't think you need to spend over $2200 on a exhaust to have it sound nice and interior levels low. I would say Magnaflow is not one I would consider a cheap exhaust company because they use good stainless steel and welds. Seems like you got some crazy deal on the one you said you got. They are around $1400 new and I have never seen them much lower then that for the C7.
