Adding memory seat function to B8.5 A4 with elect seats

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hi All,

I just purchased a 2013 A4 facelift with elect seats but no memory function (no buttons).

Is there anyone here that knows a list of parts required to undertake a retrofit.

I don't think I have a module under the drivers seat and the interior is leather / alcantara and can has convenience keys.

I don't mind if I can set it up so that each key 'remembers' last position so that I don't need to add buttons.

    Thanks

    Lemi

I assume that would be a pretty expensive mod.

perhaps ask your local AUDI dealer?

I bought my used car specifically due to it having that option/function.

even though I have it, im kinda interested to know as I have wondered if I ever upgrade to better seats.. (S4 or even S-Line) seats whats involved.

You would need the modules under each seat and the switches in the door cards but the wiring necessary might be part of the canbus which would be more difficult

I would be happy just to do drivers seat.

I did see that it has been done to A5 and I am wondering if parts (apart from the buttons) are the same.

I guess I will contact audi themselves.

    Cheers

Audi probably will be of little help.
This retrofit is very doable and don't let anyone discourage you if you really want it.

This is a planned retrofit for me when I retrofit the 3 zone hvac into my 09 b8

There's a pdf online somewhere that is pretty detailed about doing this on a b8

But for sure you will need this part no:
    8K0 959 760

    That's the seat module

You will then need door modules with the cutouts
Oh and this is the part number for the bracket for the control module above
    8T0 959 729

Once u have those plus the memory switch ur next hurdle is cabling

    U have a few options.
You can either make the cabling yourself or strip another b8 for its wiring loom or contact kufdatec to see for they will make you one

But this retrofit is 100% doable
Oh and you'll need vagcom and the right coding to adapt it all

Thanks for info :) I really appreciate it.

I have a friend who used to work at VW and is now at Porsche so he will be doing the coding with vagcom. Its just that he has never done memory seats.

Where else can I get info about what cables I need or is there any thread about someone having it done.

    Cheers

Took me a min as I had dug into this way before purchasing my Audi and saved the link

    This was written by Danikas

He also has a thread on Audi forums that covers some questions

In the thread it's stated there's 3 cables
    8T0971 366 F
    8T0971 369 N
    8T0 971366 AL

However these wiring looms are pretty pricey so unless u got some change laying around I'd use the schematics in the pdf along with etka diagrams to find the wires and rip them out of a donor car or contact kufdatec
