    2017 B9 A4 some dumb things I like

    I'm coming from a B8.5 Manual.

    Finally Bluetooth for music.

The blind spot monitor indicators are so convienent rather than looking for some small logo on the mirror.

The driving mode "comfort" the engine stops and the tachamometer rests on "ready" and idles back on when you hit the gas. The "dynamic" mode will hold the gear before shifting for a very fun time.

2 SD cards and a Sim card for WiFi. Two USB and AUX jack.

The size of the mirrors are small and sit perfectly. Big like.

Heated back seats and steering wheel are new for me.

Headrests move out and in not just up and down.

Love having the audio and navigation controls where your hand naturally falls on the center console.

The outside door handles light up and lift up rather than pull to the side when opening.

Lots of lighting accents, inside of cup holders, lines on door panels and the S line metal plate on inside of door lights up too. All white lights.

My old cup holders had one big and the other small, like red bull can size small. These new ones fit in a weird place where your cup will need to be considered for height.

Of course performance is amazing, but will touch on that later.

Any idea why they did this? I always thought pulling to the side would be easier or more natural. Maybe cause I'm short it feels awkward to "lift up" but I kind of wish they had kept the old door handle style!

That was my feeling too about the handle pulling up. Seems especially off on the Allroad, being higher than the A4. It will take some getting used to, I guess. One thing I noticed yesterday in looking at an Allroad on the dealer lot, is that the upper horizontally surface of the door handles are either chrome or polished aluminum, whereas in the sedans, they are just one piece, body color.

Curious that the Allroad in all three trims, gets the added bling on the handles, as well as side window surround moulding.

Audi said it was easier for people with arthritis to make the handles this way

I have a B8.5 and it streams music via Bluetooth just fine. The B8 could not.

I plan on wrapping or painting the handles. I dislike chrome trim and accents so very much. Really wish you could opt into black roof rails as well instead of the silly chrome ones. I'm going to be wrapping or painting a whole lot of trim on the Allroad once I get.

From what be seen yes, all three trim levels are loaded up with chrome.

^^^ Hhmmm....it can? I have the 4G MMI in my 2015 A4....although I didn't go for the tech package, I would have assumed that the MMI can connect via bluetooth to stream audio off my phone. It may be my phone though since the owners manual indicates that some phones are not compatible and I have SONY Z3. Weird. Seems like there's more variables than expected.

the b 8.5 has the same blind spot markers, it's not on the glass.

For BT music, how much of your music can you control from the steering and center console? on my B8.5 I can only FW, FF and skip songs.

Also, apple car play is standard across all trim levels. Do you have an iPhone and have you tried it?

When I go through the media options I have SD card, CD and AUX. I bought a AUX cord to plug in, I never bought the Bluetooth adapter people usually get. My 2013 doesn't have navigation maybe that includes Bluetooth capability?

Yeah, that's why. The A2DP Bluetooth feature only came with navigation.

I may need to re-pair my phone to the car, but yeah.....in my list of audio sources, my phone does not come up even though I use the phone all the time with bluetooth. My phones android so it should work.....
