Traded A5 Cab for Merc C Class Convertible

Just got my new Merc C Class Cab today. After seeing the new A5 and driving a 2017 A4 S-line loaner I decided to look around to see what else was out there. The new A5 front end never did grow on me and I just liked the interior design of the Merc much better. I have only had it for half a day now but I love it so far. The only thing I don't like is that the gear stick is on a stalk on the steering wheel. You push it up to put in reverse, push it down for drive and press a button on the end for park. Twice today while I was parking I left it in gear and the car started rolling so had to press the brake real quick. It has all of the features of the A5 I like but they are in different locations from where Audi puts theirs so still getting used to it. I will post some pictures once I get done detailing it. The car's paint is in good condition with only a few DIS (Dealer Installed Swirls) so it shouldn't take too long to do it. I took my swirl finder light with me and I was really surprised that the paint was about 99% swirl free.

Think you have put this in the wrong forum! I would sell it and buy an A5 100% swirl free. 😋

I think it was a good choice. Would love to see some pictures. Their new design aesthetically is better than what Audi is now offering. I'm in the same boat now, selling my A5 and looking at other brands because of the lackluster redesign. The gear shifter on the stalk will definitely take some getting used to. Reminds me of some of the land yachts from the 80's I drove as a kid.

I have an E with the gear stalk and actually really like that implementation of gear selection. It clears up the center console and allows you to quickly switch between F, R, and P without taking your hands off the wheel and having to reach down.. You will definitely get used to it - I learned to like it.
