Your stock B8/B8.5 front brake setup starts life out as a 1 piston caliper clamping down on a 330mm rotor. You could go with the same caliper from the S4; advantage would be placing the rotors further away from center. Clamping force would then be on a larger 345mm rotor.
What we have here, is a prime example of a substantial upgrade in the form of the A6/S6 3.0T front brake setup. This could be considered a poor man's OEM BBK. The setup is a DUAL piston caliper, clamping down on a massive and thicker 356mm, rotor. From online research:
2014-A4: 60-0ft braking distance- 118ft
2014 A6: 60-0ft braking distance- 111ft
Sure, it’s only 7ft shorter, but the A6 weighs nearly 500lbs more. Put this setup on your A4 and you’ll surely stop even shorter than 111ft, but more importantly, you’ll have much less brake fade.
What you get in this package: 2 front calipers & carriers, 2 356mm rotors, brand new set of brake pads, and necessary bolts. I originally planned to put these on my 2015 allroad, but traded it in a few weeks back. The calipers were sand blasted and painted Porsche yellow with RS logos, then clear coated. I was informed by the AZ member (Slimwonder) who I bought them from, the pistons were rebuilt so the entire setup is good to go! I must say, he did a fantastic job on the brakes!
Asking $600 + shipping via Fedex/UPS or $630 SHIPPED to any airport that Alaska Airlines flies to. The only catch is, you’ll have to pick it up at the airport cargo area. But then again, you could have it within 1 business day!
