S4 Wheels Color Choice - Need AZ Input

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Fellas,

I'm starting to get my brakes and wheel choices together. In the Spring, I am planning on upgrading the fronts to the ECSTuning Stage4 RS5 Big Brake Kit along with the brake booster and master cylinder. This has sparked a quandary around what color calipers to get as a part of the overall color scheme of the car accents.

I have a Phantom Black 2014 S4 Prestige (with the CF interior accents)

I have decided on the Velos S1 5 spoke wheels

Now, I have two options together based on colors, let me know your thoughts on each:

    Option 1:

    Get RS5 Red front calipers.

Media blast the rear calipers and paint them red

Get the Velos S1 wheels in Gloss Black

Keep the S4 Badging red and get the red "Supercharged" badges for the door

    Option 2:

Get the RS5 Black front calipers

    Keep the rear calipers black

Get the Velos S1 wheels in Silver

Create CF S4 badging and get the CF "Supercharged" badges for the door

    Thoughts? Thanks in advance!
    Matt

I'd go with red calipers and silver wheels. Black wheels on a black car is over played and kinda ghetto imo

Red brings attention to the brakes, maybe you'll get a "sick discs bro", or go stealth and get the black.

I think this is really what it comes down to. Do you want to bring attention to your brakes or not?

Unfortunately, my old track car (2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe GT) had red Brembo's stock from the factory and they were decent. So not sure how to put it, but personally I prefer stealth, because paint is really just cosmetics.

unless you are going to wrap the window trim and mirrors - I say silver wheels to keep a little accent of color other than black. As for the brakes - either will look great. Just depends where you want the visual focal point of the car to be?

    Love those wheels BTW...

I'd go with black so that you don't have to paint the rears red.

Here is the best rendition of the black on black with red I was thinking. Not 100% sold on the wrap on the mirror s but I need to let it sink in a bit..

    Here

Red calipers seem a bit dated at this point, especially given the rears are nothing special. Go black.
A definite "no" vote from me on those red mirror caps.
And I'd say you don't need any stinking badges!

Are you planning to black out the trim and grill as in the pic above? If so, don't think silver wheels would work too well.

i went with black calipers, as the rears look so pitiful, they don't deserve attention. those who know what they are will give you compliments. i've gotten compliments with the black calipers and stock silver peelers. the black is going to be lower cleaning maintenance too.

those wheels look really nice, but i'd keep them silver. they're a pretty aggressive design, so the silver would keep them from looking "too much" on an audi 4-door. no to the red mirrors. on a porsche, yes, on a 4-door audi? nah. just my opinion though. enjoy the mods!

that picture you posted would be a great combination for a corvette, viper, or 911, but it looks a little much on a sedan
