034Motorsport is proud to offer our Billet Aluminum Transmission Mount Insert for the B9 Audi A4! The factory Audi transmission mount has a large void in the rubber damping medium, which results in excessive transmission movement under load. This movement results in drivetrain slop than can be observed when accelerating, decelerating, and shifting.

This billet aluminum insert is designed to fill the large void in the factory transmission mount, and limit transmission movement without sacrificing ride quality or introducing any additional noise, vibration, or harshness into the cabin. By filling the void in the factory mount, this insert eliminates the associated slop and ensures that you experience crisper shifts and a smoother driving experience.

This mount was thoroughly tested by 034Motorsport, and independent Audi enthusiasts before release. Installation is very simple, can be performed in minutes, and is completely reversible.

OT but what is the jerkiness everyone is talking about? I've read that the DSG is supposed to be jerky in traffic but I've never noticed it. It definitely isn't as smooth as the ZF in my A7 (but it shifts faster than the ZF). But like I said, I haven't noticed it being jerky as such.

There is movement due to a gap. This insert bridges that gap. I noticed movement somewhat often when accelerating. I'm also APR STG1 tuned.

The jerkiness in traffic is a bit different but also gets reduced by the insert. Basically, all movement gets reduced but isn't always noticeable since dual clutch transmissions can be clunky one day and smooth the next. It's like they have a mind of their own.

So. All those who got the insert. Did you install it yourself or did you get someone else to do it for you? If so, how much do mechanics here charge to insert the mount. I've never had anyone work on any of my cars here for anything. So I have no idea about the rates. Plus, is there any specific rating to torque the screws for the insert or does it just have to be tight?

Install take minutes! if you have access to a lift you can do it yourself. its held by two polygon bolts, the insert is located in the gearbox mounting. Not sure what will a technician charge cause it takes minutes not hours. it just has to be tight no specific torque. I first used an power gun and hand tighten it afterwards.

Just like Oscar mentioned it's a very easy install. It will probably take more time to jack the car up than actually installing it.

Typically shops will charge 30 minutes for install time on these inserts.

When replacing the tranny mount and the rear subframe bolts, should they be replaced with new ones? It does not say anything in the instructions...

We do recommend replacing the bolt as it is a stretch bolt. However if you choose to reuse the OEM stretch bolt, we recommend using some blue loctite on it when reinstalling.
