    My b6

    Hello everyone :)

Was looking for some help and just share my general plan for when my old girl gives up.

Car is completely stock and sits at around 172.000 miles with not really any issues as such but I'm planning for the future. as much as it isn't cost effective, I want to swap in a (built?) 2.7t and make some healthy power to play with. The car wouldn't be a daily. more of a weekend/sunnyday beast to go for a rip around in.

What would be needed to go from diesel to petrol? tank lines etc.

from what iv read I would need the whole loom from s4/a6 to make this work? and then a motor and everything else.

what about engine mounts would the 2.7 bolt up?

I pretty much have my heart set on this and don't mind dumping money into it. even if it takes while. Absolutely love my car and everything about it! Car is In pretty good shape and just want to keep it forever!! haha.

Only picture I could find of her.

Sorry if iv asked questions answered before. iv done lots of reading prior to this post and I'm new to this forum business..

    Thanks guys!

    Sounds good.
Fuel lines will be compatible as well as engine. It'll be plug and play! everything will match up and will be very simple and straight forward.
Shouldnt take more then a couple of weekends!

Dude! I LOVE the color of your car!! Do you happen to know the paint code for it?
Sorry I can't be of much help with the swap portion with a TDI start because they didn't offer a TDI in North America 😕

Colour looks similar to Sprint, Pelican / Kingfisher Blue.

Going from an oil burner to gasoline will require reworking the connections / pinouts in the body connectors. I would personally swap in a gasoline harness of a similar year.

Diesel fuel tank can be used for a gasser, with the appropriate pump installed. Fuel lines will need replacing.

Cheers for the replys dudes, il have a look for the paint code tomorrow for you. 2am here. Haha, people comment on the paint all the time. Looks awesome in person.

Thanks nollywood.. I thought the whole harness would be the way to go.

Im not knowledgeable with cars having not worked on many but I'm handy with a spanner. I do however a couple friends who are very knowledgeable and work in the industry.

If its a 1.8 you'll need the front clip from a 3.0 in order for the snub mount to line up. Either that or weld one into place after the engine is in. Other than that it goes right in and plugs right up(except return fuel line.). Pull the return line from the donor car.
