So if in the future if I need to replace my pcv valve. Which one do I need? My car is a 2009 Audi A4 B8.

My car currently has the 06H103495J PCV.

The newer version of this part appears to be 06H103495AE.

Now my question is since my car has the J revision. Does that mean my ecu has already been flashed by Audi and the front crank seal updated?

If so can I just go out and buy the AE revision without needing to go to the dealer for the flash and seal update?

Is my PCV still good? :

My oil cap has negative pressure on it but heard that is normal.

Also disconnecting the breather hose (detaching from intake manifold side) and blowing into it, no air comes out. Which I heard is a good sign that the PCV is still good.

You will know when the pcv goes bad, it throws a code and says low oil pressure stop engine now. Here is a video on how to fix it for $30 or less https://youtu.be/dWiq38FShD0

My car is a 2012 early facelift A4. it has about 21,747 Miles on the clock.

My usual mentality is to replace anything that's weak (if its affordable)...
I did consider replacing my PCV also but I opted the other option. Which was to replace the PVC unit with a catch can bypass.

Instead of shitty diaphrams which can cause issues later ON, the catchcan bypass comes with a solid billet aluminium that channels the blowby to the oil catch can reservoir.

    But that's up to you.

I had mine replaced for free under an Audi service campaign. Put in your VIN here and see if you're eligible:

I have 2013 Allroad with 35K miles with 06H103495J. The newer version is 06H103495AE for car.

I don't think it's broken, but wondering if I should replace it as preventive measures. I'm thinking to go stage 1. Also thinking to upgrade DV to GFB DV+ t9351

    What do you guys think?
