8v Facelift Virtual Cockpit retrofit.

I was waiting for this retrofit since the virtual cockpit was introduced for 8v platform. Apprently, "MQB-Coding" done this retrofit on a 2015 A3:

It seems you need to change the whole dashboard since the existing space in pre-facelift models is not enough for the virtual cockpit display! Although it might cost you your arm and a leg, it would make my 16 S3 the perfect car.

It's been done a million times over here... You don't really have to change the dash, people usually just trim the dash housing to fit, and it's pretty much plug-n-play but you'll still need to have component protection removed, and a FL steering wheel to have the view and zoom in and out function. Also, you'll need MMI2 to utilize the whole screen, otherwise, navi will just be half the screen on VC... The whole thing including the VC/steering wheel/MMI2 is about $4K retrofit...

I honestly think the cluster in the 8V currently ( the classic "S" cluster ) is more classy in a CERTAIN way than the virtual. now that doesn't mean its not cool as hell !

Looking into getting the VC for my 16". I see a few brand new clusters and some used ones on Ebay. Even if I don't have it 100% working, I would love it! Also looking into getting the rear dynamic tails retro fitted. Please send me info on this.. Thanks!

The FL taillights are one of my favorite mods so far. I picked up everything from Alexander at Europrice.us.
