New steering wheel not straight ...

Got me a S-line flat bottom steering wheel. Got it installed, and it didn't line up so good with the other line. And when you drive, the steering wheel goes a little little bit to the right and stays ther like it is it's "straight" position. If someone drove my car he would never notice that, it's really tiny, but when you are the only one that knows it and drives it daily, it gets annoying. What should i do? Just live with it, or is it something i can do? The steering wheel is right match for my car with the serial number and other numbers. Had it for 4wheel alignment 2 Times this week. And still stuck at the same problem.. i have tried to move it one spline to the other side But its to Much. It feels like it needs just a half spline to be perfect..

It was probably installed wrong. You have to get the allignment marks dead on. Had the same problem here. had to r&r steering wheel a few times to get it just right.

Alignment marks are not always correct, usually just correct for the SW from factory. Just take it of and readjust. Had to do the same to mine.

Correct. I think mine is a few ticks off of the factory line.

Stupid n00b question - what's the purpose/point of the flat bottom?

Feels much better in the hand while driving, looks better! Going from a flat bottom to the old that came from the factory feels like driving a huge truck haha!

If it's off by a very small amount you need to adjust the toe on both sides of the car to get the wheel straight. You or a shop could quickly do this by taking a small amount out on one side and adding that same amount on the other.

Not sure if this is the way our Audi steering is, but another car I had with electric steering, the wheel was off center by just a tiny amount. I took it to the dealership and they went into the electronic programing for the steering and centered the wheel and it was perfect when they finished. Just a thought.

Thanks! Just wondered. No point in driving an ugly car!
