Hey guys,

Im visits from over from the A6 C5 forums but no one over there is any help. Maybe ill have some better luck here.

Is this the heat soak everyone talks about? In NYC at times it takes 45 min to move 5 miles. Every time im stuck in traffic or the car is reving no more than 2k rpm <30mph, when i find some open road it wont go into boost. It jerks a bit and when i get off throttle a loud pop comes out the exhaust. One time i kept pushing it and got a CEL. Vag com said banks 1 and 2 are running lean. What could this be? If i turn it off for a little bit, maybe 10 min shes back full power. Im thinking shes getting hot so i get onto the highway for some fresh air and all seems well. Its a 03 2.7T MT with some work done: k04s (running k03 stage 1 tune at the moment), piggies, cat back, lwfw, B7 rs4 clutch, upgraded fuel pump. I even wrapped the downpipes and made sure the header and turbo shield was back in place to keep underhood temps down. Any ideas? And this just started last month when i stuffed in the K04s.

what intake and maf you have? If it is aything but factory intake box/maf then yes, that's the heat soak most likely.

Yea factory intake except for a K&N filter and the k04 inlet pipes from xs power.

I'd say a combo of some heat soak and running a stage 1 tune with K04's. The programed tune is getting confused from the K04's perhaps. I live in south Florida - I hate heat soak.
