    Excelerate Performance Presents:

iAbed Industries 2.0T TSi Rear Main Seal Solution

Do you own a 2.0T TSI powered VW or Audi?

Have you had pesky oil leaks or have been chasing other drivability issues for what seems to be an eternity? First, we are sorry to hear that,
but we have some seriously good news for you if you are in this scenario. With this good news comes great information, this information
will help you find the right parts to properly make your repairs.

If you don’t know of iAbed Industries maybe you recall the name INA Engineering. These two companies are one in the same and founded
by Issam Abed. IAbed Industries has been engineering custom performance parts; complete fails safe solutions and much more for the
VW and Audi market for more than a decade. Needless to say the company prides themselves in innovation and persistence to further advance
the reliability and overall longevity of modern VW/Audi engines.

The TSI’s rear main seal is stamped construction and uses a flimsy and very thin rubber surface to seal around the crank.. The iAbed Industries
solution uses a billet machined plate that is bored to a larger diameter to make clearance for use of a Viton rubber seal that is more heat, fluid
resistant, and more than double in thickness. In other words it makes you feel a whole lot more confident when installing
the new part when removing the old.

Whether you are looking to fix a problem that is wide spread or enhance performance you can expect the same thought, design, engineering,
fit, finish and overall end result to be just about the same with every part. The 2.0T was a great advancement of the FSI engine, but iAbed looks
at engines from an engineering standpoint and how to make something good, great. That is what he did here to further advance the TSI powered platforms and for the
greater good of those who drive these cars every day.

So, how can you get your hands on one of these awesome little contraptions? You can find them here on the webstore.

For those who havent seen the OEM unit here is the flimsy O.E version of the rear main seal.

Its just no comparison to the iAbed unit.

    Thanks,

    Alex.

Very interesting. How long has this product been around/tested for to verify its reliability over the OEM rear main seal? (genuinely curious). Definitely going to keep this in mind when I upgrade my clutch.

This unit has been around for a few years. iAbed has tested these for years on personal and test vehicles to ensure longevity. They have enlarged the bore of the camshaft sealing surface to allow a much thicker and more capable seal with a material more durable than the OE unit. Viton rubber is more corrosion, heat and wear resistant than other types of rubber commonly used and found on the OEM part.

Any other questions? Just ask! When you are ready, give us a call. This is the only part we install in house and every clutch job gets a rear main seal and its been this version ever since.

    Thanks!

Not sure how this is an argument? Do you enjoy pulling your transmission to replace the seal?

+1, rather have a beefy RMS, and not need to do multiple transmission pulls for this job. I think its like 10hrs labor (maybe more if going by the book) for a $50 part...rather spend on the part than labor...

    Alex.

Another Install on a MK7 Golf R that had a leaking OE seal at only 8k miles. Don't be fooled by VW's mockery of an "updated seal". Get something that works. Get the iAbed seal.

These things are flying off the shelves, we have an inventory minimum limit set on these to make sure we don't run out. Unfortunately due to a customs issue and a delay from Blizzard Stella we ran out. These are not back IN STOCK after a few day hiatus. Any orders that were open are shipped now. Sorry for any delays.

    Thanks!

I'm going to be replacing my clutch in a couple weeks and have been looking into RMS upgrades. How does this compare to the Eurowise seal that ECS sells? They're the same price and I'm having a hard time choosing between the two!

Both the seal that we sell and the seal that Eurowise/ECS sell are both manufactured by iAbed industries however, we are the EXCLUSIVE distributor for these seals so likely the seal you would buy from ECS is NOT the latest revision. We are the only one you can buy this seal from and they didn't buy them from us.

    Hope this clarifies!

    Thanks,

    Greg
