Weird connector found when installing RS5 grille

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I finally installed my RS5 grill on my S5
    looks great
but when I had the bumper off
there was a connector that ran along the bumper reinforcement bar on both sides of the car
I have no idea what it is, never seen it before
anyone have any clue what this is?
it was coming out from beneath the headlight, and it is dangling in front of the radiator on both sides
it's hidden from view by the bumper reinforcement bar
so it's not visible if you have the bumper on

I'm thinking it may be the sensor/transmitter for your garage door opener. That, or external temperature sensor.

    neither one
the temp sensor is below the reinforcement bar
    I saw that
and the garage door opened unit is mounted behind the Audi rings in the middle of the grille
this looks like there is a tool that fits inside it and adjusts something
    but not sure what
    maybe its Horsepower :)

This. Same thing is on my wife's Q5 when I pulled the bumper for ecode install. Both headlights should have it.
