    Leak at fuel level sender

I have noticed a fuel smell inside the cabin + also noticed a few drips of fuel in front of the rear drivers wheel.
As leaking fuel and internal combustion engine and not a good combination I parked it and started looking around.
As you can see in the attached picture there is a small hairline crack in the plastic part. As my fuel tank is full I would like to temporary fix it before I replace the whole sender unit (About $200).
Which epoxy (JB weld?) would be appropriate for this temporary repair? https://goo.gl/photos/JnY2U4jynXMiTdsR8

I would just drive it down to under a half tank, and then get the work done. No need to waste money on a bandaid when you need to use up the gas anyway.
