Noticed some drip spots on the floor under my wife's '06 A4 2.0T. Seems to be oil. Inspecting more closely, I see the bellypan and back of the engine coated in this oily film. Seems to be sourced from this housing, but I didn't have time to hunt it down to be sure. What is this thing? How do I fix it?

These common issues on a 2.0T with <100k miles? Not really pleased at all with this engine. It's had pretty much every common problem happen to it. Worn camshaft and follower, eats coil packs every 10k miles, boost regulator failure, frequent CELs for misfire and underboost conditions... Annoying...
