    RS4 Power loss @5500 RPM

Hi guys i was hopping some of you could help me out with my RS4 issues...

I've recently installed the full ebwerks exhaust with high flow cats and O2 spacers to avoid any CEL...

I dont know if its a coincidence with the exhaust install but when i push the car i dont feel the kick i use to have at 5500rpm...

actually to be correct its really bad starting from my 3rd gear where it almost feels like a fuel cut occurs...1st & 2nd seems tolerable but once on the highway it gets bad....

BTW no CEL or codes stored in the ECU!

So after searching the interwebs here are some points i checked:

    - removed and cleaned the airbox flap
    - carbon clean performed 8000kms ago
    - spark plugs and coils 11000 kms ago
    - checked for any vacuum leaks or pinched tubes
    - made sure to plug the exhaust tubes that were connected to the oem exhaust

So i honestly dont know what area to attack...i do have fresh injectors but i wanted to stretch it a bit more to perform a carbon clean at the same time....

Whats driving me nuts is that a have no codes to work with...

    Thanks again for your input:)

cap your rear vacuum lines for the exhaust flaps.

Check the vacum valve placed under the airfilterbox the one thats controls the flap In the airfilterbox.

You can run a vacuum diagnostic test in VCDS. That may help eliminate some of the potential culprits.

Thanks guys ill check those 2 options... however if i were to have a faulty coil-injector or spark plug can we agree that i would automatically get a CEL?

and not pick 5500 each time. its most likely vacuum related.
