Humming or buzzing...driving me crazy

What's up L's and G's, I drive an 03 Audi b6 1.8t that creates this massively annoying and loud humming noise when running. When it's running it is barely apparent but giving it throttle from idle to even 1k it makes the sound. It reminds me of some kind of duck call or something. It moves with the r's meaning it's apparent while driving highway and when under load. As long as the r's jump up, the noise follows. The noise doesn't strike me as a bad belt or such but maybe something is clogged? I'm not sure. It's my DD so if I start messing with things under there and mess something up then I'm screwed to get to work. My mk3 isn't ready yet. Still waiting on some parts to arrive. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've been stalking this site for years and it's an excellent source for damn near everything Audi related. I will post a video

Check your EGR valve at the back of the engine. When mine cracked it made a very similar sound. It was air popping out of the engine like that.
