    C5 A6 4.2 Emissions issue, help

So i have an 04 A6 4.2 I was throwing a code for both rear O2 sensors so I replaced them, now im getting the code for a delayed resonse from one or the other. Ive checked the wiring, MAF sensor, tried switching them around, exhaust has good pressure... what am I missing? Im overdue on inspection because of this. Every time i clear the code the CE light stays off for between 50 and 90 miles, never enough to finish a full drive cycle and sneak an inspection in. Please help, I plan on selling it, and would like to sell it in th best shape possible. Thanks in advance!

I am not familiar with the exact code you're talking about...would help a little if you had the # that comes with the error and which sensor it is; if it's upstream or downstream. If you get ONLY one error and it's always the same, referring to the same sensor even after you switched the sensor then it kind of sounds like a wiring thing or another component is involved. OR both of those sensors are incompatible; long shot but if you got them both at the same time from the same vendor maybe they're not the right ones.
foley803 : What does an electrical surge sound like? Barking dogs? Watermelons?

Hi, I apologize. The code is P0139, delayed response for Bank 1 sensor 2, it also has popped the code for bank 2 sensor 2. They are both new. I was getting codes for bad sensors so I replaced them. Now this code comes up. I have also recieved a code for EVAP systems. But it comes and goes and of course, when i went to check earlier tonight it wasnt there so I can't give you the exact code for that either. Like i mentioned earlier, the car is for sale, but It wont pass NY inspection, so until I can get these figured out, Im sure no one will buy it, and I dont want to go to a dealer and spend an arm and a leg when it may be something simple. I appreciate the response and help!
