My fellow S6 and S7 enthusiasts. Today I was invited to join the exotic car group in Columbus, OH for their annual road trip through Hocking Hills, OH. Really nice winding roads through the hills that would challenge the best of track day cars. This would be my first real pushing of the car since all of my stage 3 upgrades.
Let me just say it was awesome, the car performed outstanding. We raced the cars through the hills from 9:30 till 2:30 with just a few stops. Over 50 cars total, ranging from my S6 to BMWs, Porsches, Lambos, Ferraris, McLarens, R8s, Lotus, Nobles and NSXs. While
I couldn't cut some of the corners as fast as some of them I had more than enough power to pull out of the corners to push and pass many of them. I don't think I've ever beat on a car for that hard and long. Thank goodness for coolant upgrade, I have to think it was working perfectly as the cars coolant temps stayed constant the whole time. Oil temps pushed into the 230 range so kept my eye on that. The only thing I noticed is that my AWE exhaust or Downpipe must have shifted with all of the hard turns as I started to hear a weird vibration sound come up through the center console area. Only happened at lower RPMs. I'm thinking something was rubbing. I was revving the car passed 7k rpm so many times it was screaming through the turns. If there were any bolts loose, they were going to come undone.
Everybody loved the car, especially how much power it pushed out and the fact it's a sleeper and no one would know what it could do. The McClaren guy behind me couldn't even keep up out of the turns.
Great day, really pleased with the car, see attached pictures below:
