Question Best b8 a4 performance upgrades for $1000 total?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I recently purchased a 2011 Audi a4 premium plus sedan with 102k miles and I was wondering what performance upgrades should I do first with a total budget of around $1000. I definitely want to get the APR stage 2 tune.

Always upgrade the driver first. Car control clinics. Club track events, etc.

    102k

I'd check the service records first. Take your $1000 and put it towards any crucial maintenance that may be overdue.

Read the forums to find out what typically requires replacement around that mileage.

That could take a bit or all of your 1k, but it'll be worth the peace of mind.

Best b8 a4 performance upgrades for $1000 total?

Exactly what hybrid said. I recently got a 2011 with similar miles. Was hit with over 4-5k worth of repair and the car had a good maintenance history. Think my situation may be a little extreme (timing chain, fuel pump, battery, and more all needed repair a few weeks-months after purchase), but also just got hit with oil consumption despite the car already having pt 1 done without AoA or the dealership covering any of it. Might wanna wait it out for a few months and see what could come up.

The 1k budget is after maintenance. Im thinking ill get a gfb dv+, high flow cat, apr stage 2, and maybe a sway bar.

You obviously haven't done your research on these prices... You just posted a question and waited for people to feed you info...

You could probably do stage 2+HFC with APR's sale going on.

102K on your car? I would spend that money on getting the timing chain and tensioner replaced, then mod.
Stage 1 more than you RS3

Even though you might think thats after maintenance, I would get all maintenance done first, drive for a bit, then determine if you still want the 1000 bucks of mods. Maintenance might be more than you're assuming.
