    i just want to make sure my turbos are ok i just bought the car the car has about 164k miles and i have drove it about 3000 miles theres no white smoke coming from exhaust but when i changed driver side dv the was a good amount of oil in it and the inside of my y pipe looks like this i wiped up the worst of it at the begining but this is what it looks like inside

    any help would be appriciated thank you

    I think it looks pretty common, especially at this mileage. This is the reason people installing catch cans with various rate of success against recirculating oil mist everywhere.

    k cool yeah i plan on putting one in in the near future just wanted to make sure i didnt need to replace turbos.

    Usually as long as they aren't making a dentist drill sound, blowing white smoke out the exhaust, or metal flakes in the charge side of the intake(between the turbo and intercoolers) they are good to go.

    Just clean out the y pipe and keep track of the oil build up for the next 5k miles. if there is a lot by that time then maybe there is a problem but otherwise its just because no one has ever cleaned it.
    Make sure your throttle body is clean though!!! if there is ant black gunk anywhere in the throttle body it really hurts idle and makes it a jerky ride. Especially at 164k thats where I am and I cleaned all that out and haven't had a problem since.

    Oil in the y pipe is from the PCV system, not the turbos.
