Heat Stopped Working/ A/C Comes on regardless of temp settings...Help please

I'm not sure at what point my heat stopped working, but in the last couple days the weather got really cold at night and i realized the heat does not work regardless what settings i set to, even at Hi my A/C is coming on and blowing cold air, A/C fan kicking in too and the AC lines sweating cold as if the temp outside was hot instead of Heat.

I used vagcom and everything checks out, the engine is warming up to its normal temp and no overheating, i checked the inlet and outlet heater core hoses, the outlet its cool/warm and the inlet its burning hot, with the engine idling and heat at max i pulled the outlet hose (right/passenger) and there is nothing coming out beside slow dripping or a bit more then that but nothing gushing out.

I'm trying to understand why is my AC coming on when I'm requesting Heat, i mean its not just cool Air but full A/C Cold air just like being in Hot summer with ac lines sweating and AC radiator fan at full speed.

Any thoughts would greatly be appreciated.

The AC coming on is really weird but to fix your heat you just need to blow all the shit outta your heater core with a little water. Just a simple flush will get everything all cleaned up nicely, and you will have heat again. I don't know what to say about the AC tho

Or just search "Audi heater core flush"

Thanks a bunch, but thats what confuses me the A/C part..the AC should not kicking in and it may be related to the heat issue..is there something that controls the ac from heat (sensor) based on what its been requested from the climate controls..!

Sounds like it is the blend door actuator/servo. Turn on the blower with the minimum setting and increase the temperature. Listen for the door to move.

Do you have a thermostat? Could also be the heater core clogging up. Sounds like your car is running too cool. Connect a decent OBD 2 reader and go take a look at the sensor see what it is reading.

I did and I'm getting normal reading off 98C when engine is fully warmed and the needle stays right on the centre.

Sounds like a clogged heater or a bad servo
