Ported and polished throttlebody [TX]

I have a ported and polished throttlebody from a 2014 car with 10k miles on it. I just sent the throttlebody to BlownOne for porting, his work is excellent he even knife edged the throttlebody plate for me. I put it on today when I realized this throttlebody is made by Continental and my 2010 s4 has a throttlebody made by Siemens. These are not the exact same throttle body and my 2010 has trouble controlling idle with the newer throttlebody. So I would like to sell this throttlebody and have BlownOne port my siemens TB.

I did take my car for a test drive and I was quite surprised by the HP gain at higher rpms! Throttle response was snappier too. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this mod added more power than my Roc Euro intake.

I wld love to snag this but dont want a core as a leftover. Can anyone with the correct one comment on the idle?

Thanks for the compliments Alex! Yea sorry I didn't realize there were two different units until I opened a Siemens yesterday and it clicked. Couldn't figure out why only a few people had an idle issue for the life of me lol.

@Dubious Mine, matts and several others have zero issues with idle...it only happens when you use the opposite of the original throttle body in your car as something in the ecu or tb itself is different.

How easy is the install on this? Anyone figure when this changeover occurred between the two types? My 2014 likely has this continnentinal one im guessing.

No prob! Install takes about 5 minutes...just remove the clamp that connects the intake tube to the throttle body, remove the tps connector at the bottom of the tb and remove the 4 T-30 torx bolts that hold the tb be the supercharger inlet. Done. It seems early model s4's use the Siemens (2010-12) and later models use conti 2013+ but I am not absolutely sure on the years. Easiest way to be 100% sure would be to pull your current one off and have a look.

My 2013 as well as the 2013 I stole the TB off of were both Continentals.

FWIW this is a great deal if you are in the market for one. If this was posted a few days earlier I would have been all over it.
