    Any confirmed suspension fixes

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Has anyone with AR suspension problems where it sits lower on one side fixed that issue ? Can't get a vagcom till Monday and I don't want to guess it's the solenoid in the compressor. I know alot of cars had this issue but I haven't seen any fixes. Someone has to know. 😭

So your pump is still working. Being on a lot probably means that it's trying to get all 4 bags filled but it will cycle on and off until it shuts off and throws a light if there is a fault. Is there any light on for the air suspension?

Did you spray the side that sits lower with soapy water to make sure that it's not leaking?

Undo the cover to the compressor and do the same thing, spray the air line connections.

Check the ride height sensor on that side? Junk/water will do some damage. Some you don't have a vagcom yet you can simply unplug/plug to see if it clears the issue.

Look at the leveling sensors, maybe the arm is bent or not attached properly.

Took the front sensor off and opened it and it's dry and very clean. The arm looks straight. I'll clean the connector then reinstall it and do the same for the rea.

your best bet is to get a hold of a vagcom and do a full scan
only way to pull the codes from the suspension module if there are any

Hey guys just noticed the clip that connects the sensor arm to the control arm is not in the Same place as the driver side. I think it should be in the middle of the two raised marks and shouldn't be able to slide left and right as it was originally doing

Ok so checked all 4 arms and sensor and they are clean and dry.
Still pass side is still sitting higher.
Only the rear bags are original.Compressor came on 3-4 times in one minute as well as car rising and lowering when it was at level 1.
I'm thinking compressor at this point and if that's it I'm gonna do a coil spring conversion.

note about the sensor, the only part that is special is the arm
the sensor part is common across several different models

Got a sensor today and installed it and its still not cured
The sensor made the side with the problem just drop a little lower but still not level like the drive side.
The other issue is that driver side at level one looks like the car is bagged. The flares almost cover the top of the tires.

I'm only getting suspension light when it's in level one.

If you're getting right rear sensor and you've changed it to no avail, it's time to pull the back seat bottom and look at all the dried kids' juice, etc. in the connector that goes to the rear sensor.
Buy a can of that electric contact cleaner spray and go to work. Ask me how I know.

No dice. No results. Also guys two days ago I noticed the car was level and at level one, I raised it and then it went back to not sitting squarely.

Ok I haven't logged onto Quattro world yet but read a thread on a similar matter where it was recommended to pull the harnesses for the control module and spray them with contact cleaner.

Superdelux advised me to spray the connection under the rear seat so I had to buy a can previously
I could only get the 48 pin harness off , couldn't figure out the 10 pin.
I started the car and let it run for a minute without the module connected then shut it off and attached it.
Started the car and cel came on. I did notice the driver side at level one was looking normal and not covering the top of the tire like before , but car was still not square at all corners. I called it a night and went to bed.

This morning started the car cel was not on and on my way back from an errand put it in level 1
I waited till I got home to do a walk around and for the first time it looked really close to sitting square all around.
I'll keep checking it and posting findings

If the height is off on all levels you just need to follow the steps for the 402 mod but just adjust the corners that sit low.

I'll try 402 mod this weekend but I'm stoked on getting the car back today after getting pre cats and main cats gutted and stage 2 flash.
The car really looks like it's sitting even now thank God. With the tip the car is now my 1st choice for daily over my 417hp 335i
