Cam chain tensioner

Does anyone know if the cam chain tensioner from a 30v 2.8 will work in a 40v 4.2. going through motor for my v8 swap and found this

From what I can tell, depending on the years of engines you're working with, it's either "probably" not or "definitely" not.

Dam cause the 2.8 which is blown has new ones in it

Anyone else know for sure. I checked them out. They look the same however looks can be deceiving
