You will probably have to do it down the road anywise!
I made the mistake of going with springs...
DRC/shocks failed about a year later... put in shocks.. stance sucked... so put in could next day... sooo much better than springs and shock combo (inc drc)

I totally get what you're saying Hamid; why take the hit on two different labour install/alignment sessions? / just do it first time. However, the KW HAS kit is a height adjustable kit with a surprising range of lows and this just cannot be compared to a static sport spring.
For me personally it was the right call. I scooped my car a year and a half ago from the original owner @ 29,000 kms and the DRC just had recall / service work at dealer; didn't feel right to just tear the DRC out. I found a super good deal on a KW HAS kit and I couldn't pass it up.
I know of your fiasco when they re-installed your springs (after DRC fail) without your B5 perches in place and effed up your desired height up front. That's how it goes on any other set of normal sport springs - you're stuck with that height as it sits; not the case with the KW HAS.
I am super happy with the ride quality, I can dial in my height exactly where I want it (will be raising it slightly here shortly for Winter) and when the DRC finally starts to get sweaty and fails out on me, I will be prepared with some fresh and shiny Bilstein struts and shocks at that time. I will then essentially have a coilover equivalent / fully height adjustable setup at that time and my total cost outlay will be less than a set of H&R coilovers.
They aren't the V3's I truly want of course, but they are a great balance of ride quality, performance and cost effectiveness for my needs at this point in my car modding life. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to take a similar approach to fender gap elimination.
