    B6 A4 1.8T Turbo Upgrade Question

    Hey Guys,

I know this issue has been beaten to death but i'm looking at adding a little more juice to the A4. Currently I'm running the Revo Stage 1+ software, injectors, APR exhaust and a CTS Test pipe. I'm considering bolting in a K04 and a front mount intercooler to give it a little more go. Seeing if the borg warner K04 is worth the effort? New car is coming next spring so i'm not wanting to dump thousands into a car that I will never see again. Any links would be appreciated.

    Cheers,

While the k04 is a fun turbo for a daily, most say it isn't worth the $1000 plus a new tune to only gain 15-20 hp. Think of it like the difference between a chipped 1.8t and a big injector 1.8t.

My immediate thought is that if you are getting rid of the car within 6 months, just leave it alone and enjoy your Stage 1+. Unless of course the small extra enjoyment for that period of time is worth your $.

Why would you spend money for performance gains on a car your getting rid of in the near future?

I'm at the point of "Why not". If i can spend $1000-1500 to have some more fun for the next 6 months then i'm in. Mind as well.

If you have REVO and want to spend a grand on a turbo upgrade go with a GTRS. You will need larger injectors however.
