What's needed/recommended for APR Stage ll

I have an automatic 2013 A4 Prestige with s-line package. I want to upgrade to stage ll. I have not modified performance on any cars, as I am only 19yo. I was wondering what is needed/recommended for the tune. There is a shop close by that can do the work.

The route I am thinking of going...
    -purchase stage 1
    -purchase APR Cast downpipe
-get the free upgrade to stage 2
    -purchase the APR intercooler

    Questions I have...
-Should I buy a high flow cat? What's recommended?
-Should i buy a diverter valve? What's recommended?
-Is the transmission fine to hold the power?
-Is anything else needed/recommended for stage 2?

    Thanks in advanced!

Hey man, congrats on entering into the performance world. Here are my recommendations having gone stage I on my car (for what it's worth I'm 19 too):

    1. Buy a turbo inlet hose ~$50 and an AFE intake filter ~$65. This does exactly the same thing as a full intake just without the price tag. Unless of course you want to add some carbon to your engine bay then go with the APR carbonio intake.

    2. Go to stage I first and see how you like it. If you plan on going with the APR downpipe then there won't be an additional cost to go stage II.

    3. Go Fast Bits DV+ is the diverter valve to get, its a good preventative maintenance mod, will increase throttle response and is still controlled by the ECU (unlike the Forge unit which is pneumatic IE manual). Plus you'll get a little more sound out of the turbo.

At this point I'd say see how you like the car's performance, stage I might be enough power for you.

If not, go with the APR downpipe and stage II at the same time, if you don't have stage II software the downpipe will throw a code. The APR downpipe has a high flow cat built in, so no need to purchase that as well. An intercooler is always a good idea if you have the cash. Keep in mind that doing any kind of ECU flash will void whatever powertrain warranty you have left. The trans will hold the power just fine. Another thing you may want to consider is having the valves cleaned of carbon if you haven't had it done yet. As with all performance mods, you need to be on top of maintenance as you'll wear parts faster with the increased power. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions.

I agree with Rg4, that's a really good route. I've spoken to several folks about the 6-speed and 8-speed tip-tronic w/ a stage 2 setup and nobody has me worried. I've been running stage 1 for 5K miles with no issues and will soon be stepping up to stage 2 on my '09 w/ 94K miles and I'm not concered at all.

The minimum requirement is the high flow cat (or APR downpipe which includes it) for stage 2, the intake would obviously be a good enhancement, but isn't required for them to program it.
