2017 Audi S3 ( Dealer pictures )

Hello people ! My car is at the port and I won't get it for another few weeks :( - However a local dealer received two today. I'm happy to find out the seats are All red oppose to red inserts! I found the perfect car with the options I wanted and went with the red seats although I was hesitant. But it worked out in my benefit. Anyway here is some random pictures

Yeah they should have had the super sports in red as well. Sports look better,But I like the power over manual lol

Very nice car!

Except 1 particular gripe, I really like everything about the new 2017 S3 (especially the red seats and the flat-bottom steering wheel with perforation).

This is probably a personal preference, but I can't seem to get myself to like the smiley face of the front fascia.

My Daytona Grey Pearl on order will have red seats. Have been really concerned about that combination. But they do go well with that car in the photos. Can't tell, what color is that?

I went with Daytona gray pearl with red seats as well,I also went with the carbon fiber package,Tech,Red brakes,Bno sound etc - I haven't seen one picture yet of a 17 with CF spoiler and mirrors so I hope it's the same as the 16! It looks perfect as is.

I'll have it in two weeks. If it comes before yours I'll post some pictures of it

The one in the pictures with red interior has black exterior

Carbon fiber package is : Carbon fiber rear spoiler and carbon side mirrors

I like everything about the new cars except the front bumper/rear diffuser. They are just too busy.

I would gladly take the virtual cockpit, carplay, and the new steering wheel though...

What color is the headliner with the red Magma seats? There's been some discussion it is grey and not black.

Honestly i didn't even look at it,I was drooling over the virtual cockpit and seats. Ill report back when i can confirm

In Canada at least, the Audi website says grey headliner with red Magma seats. But the order guide says black headliner. I haven't seen a photo to confirm which is correct.

Should be a nice config, sucks that I am waiting still for mine to be built now that '17s are appearing

Thanks,I can't wait to get it. It's my first Audi ! I came very close to buying a 14 RS5 but I couldn't find a certified one I liked. And wasn't spending that much without a warranty. So the S3 made more sense

When did you build it ? This one was built on 6/12 and there was over 40 coming to the rhode island pier. Sucks they don't all get delivered within the same month

I ordered mine in August, but the color I ordered had a delayed introduction in the USA. Won't be built until the second week of November

You have some serious patience. I'll give you that ! 2 weeks seems like months to me. I'm sure once you get it,It will be well worth the wait.

The headliner is Black,I got a paper last night from the dealer with more detail.

I have a bunch planned already,But all the shops I talked too are saying to wait in till other people confirm fitment before I pull the trigger. It should be the same but you never know is the consensus lol

Suspension,Rims,spacers,black out badges are first up. Then I'll go into the engine

I must say I liked the seats better when they were only partially red.

I was wondering if they were going to be completely red like it showed in the configurator . . . and sure enough they are.

I'm curious though, how does it really feel going from 9 and 10 second cars to the S3? I'm considering an S3, as it seems like a great car, but even tuned I'm not sure I'd be happy with the drop in power from my M3.

It feels much different but I bought this car knowing it wouldn't be a 9-10 second car,And I was happy with that. Having a warranty and not worrying about blowing engines all the time is a nice feeling on the plus side ! Not to mention when your car is that fast you need so much open space to drive fast you can't really enjoy it,If that makes sense.

Honestly it depends on your goals. I would think the S3 with intake,turbo back and tune is a mid - high 11 second car at best. And it turns very well so it makes for a fun daily imo.

Once you decide on your goal,Pick a platform that you are 100 % confident with that can hit the goal and make the move !

I was a Guinea pig with the 15 Wrx and I had high hopes of 10 second car. I was the first to do E85 and a fmic among everything else and the modifications just never caught up to the car. I won't make that mistake again lol

Yeah, it makes sense. It's pretty rare that I can let my car loose, and it's somewhat traction limited as it is. Won't be a problem with the S3.

I may hold out for the RS3 and have the best of both worlds, but my wallet won't like that as much. :-)

I'm thinking about trading mine in for the Rs3 when it comes out, I can't hold out like you tho lol. I sold the V and have nothing so I needed something for the time being :)

Im having the same problem. I noticed it immediately and can't stop picturing the big grin. It shows up much more on lighter cars. Everything else looks decent, although I prefer the previous rear diffuser- much cleaner and less boy-racer.
