Already have the full RS5 Brake kit in the front... Now it's time to replace my rear rotors. I'm wondering if anyone has experience using lightweight (2-piece) rear rotors - with a price point less than $500, think the ECS 2-piece kit is the only option within my budget. https://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B8_S5...ear/ES2730486/
A stock rotor weighs about 17lbs
ECS claims 18% weight savings - or ~3lbs per rotor.
Should I expect any noticeable difference if I went with with lighter rear rotors (stopping, acceleration, handling, durability, etc)? Trying to decide if it's actually worth it to pay the extra ~$300 to shave some rotating mass in the rear, or just go with slotted Stoptechs and save the extra money. They look cool, but I'm only interested if the potential performance benefit is worth the $300 premium.
Any opinions?
Thanks!
