Hi Bertie, The wheel is a direct bolt on for sure. The airbag and media button functionality requires the same clock spring wiring harness as the B7. I did a quick search and it looks like the later model B6 S4's use the same wiring and require no mods. Older models, without RNS-E presumably, require about $500 in misc parts. The Euro wheel limits you to basically two functions that require programming; Radio volume control and ability to scan through the interface on instrument cluster....no phone, navi or media controls beyond that. Just looks perdy. ;)

You'll need to research to be certain. Here's a couple of links to start with...

Is the Euro FBSW the same diameter as the OEM RS4 steering wheel? Or is it smaller?

Obviously smaller top to bottom since it's a flat bottom wheel, but I believe they're about the same diameter across. Euro wheel has about an extra 5mm of leather thickness to it, which makes it look smaller in diameter compared to the US wheel. 370-375mm

Here's a pic from an old 'zine post comparing the two.... A bit exaggerated since the stock wheels closer to the camera. But you get the idea

I want a FBSW so bad, and really want to keep it authentic with the RS4 wheel, but I use my steering wheel volume all the time. Did it take a while to adjust to not having them on the steering wheel? Looks to be in great shape and so far best price I've seen recently though, should sell no problem. GLWS!

Thank you kindly! It's my 3rd time buying (and reluctantly selling) the Euro wheel over the years. It's easy to program the volume controls through vag-com, but I really got used to scanning through songs and radio stations on the stock mfsw and that's not a programmable feature on the euro. Easy to forget though, the wheel feels vastly superior to the stock one, in terms of grip, thickness and tighter turn radius. You'll be fine with volume on this wheel

I have the older model B6. Whereas I could do without the other functions, I'd need to know the airbag would work.
