    I'm cool now.. but got a question

    Over the weekend I installed my retrofitted headlights.

    The kit is from TRS and it's the 5500k mini h1 kit.
    I absolutely love them, it's like it's daylight when my lights are on

    My question is/are

    Does the throw look right ?
    Why do the dip in the middle?
    Does the cutoff look right?





    I fixed the alignment today

    The cutoff does have a nice blue line but doesn't show up in the photo

    Its hard to tell but I think what you are referring to is a built in sort of step down cut off on the driver side headlight to avoid blinding oncoming traffic.

    not sure about the other questions.

    Edit: oh wait, it looks like a U. That im not sure. I assume due to how the light is dispersed and concentrated you need less height in the middle? dont know.

    I would assume the U shape is due to a alignment issue. Maybe the lens is slightly tilted in one direction.... They look fine to me though.

    if you are in doubt get them aimed professionally . There is nothing more irritating on the roads than driving down the road with an amateur ricer who threw on new lights to impress his buddies and blinds everybody just to look cool . don't be THAT guy ..

    The pattern doesn't look right to me. There shouldn't be a dip in the middle, and the cutoff should be on the driver's side so as not to blind oncoming traffic. If the first two pics are of the high beams there is way too much foreground lighting. More of the light should be projected down the road. In case you were wondering this is one of the main reasons why most systems on US made cars turn the fog lights off while on high beam.

    Your rotational axis is off on both sides. Should be perfectly horizontal against a wall.

    Depending on how the projectors are mounted to the headlights, I believe all you need to do is rotate them to fix that. Hopefully they are not glued!

    I agree with rongeur. Rotational mal-alignment might explain both the 'U' shape of the beam pattern and the excessive foreground lighting (which raising the beams seems to only have helped a little).

    turns out. Im missing the bulb holder clip.. TRS has reviewed all photos and determined that the bulbs arent seated correctly.

    hopefully the clips will improve the bowing affect

    yea those are WAY off. Rotate those suckers and try to get rid of the awful hot spot in the center. Its seems like they're aimed WAY low too. They appear to be acting more like fog lights than main beams.
