Hi, I am considering buying a '87 4000 Quattro for my son and I am wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to add ABS onto the car. This would include how easy (if at all possible) it is to get the parts.

    Thanks for your help, Jeff

Why not go for an early model A4 that already comes equipped? You can find great deals on A4's these days.

    hello fellow bendite!

I'm a huge fan of these cars, and while they are very reliable and great safe cars, they are rare and finding parts can be a bit of a challenge. Adding ABS could be done, but wouldn't be an easy swap. you could do it with parts from a b3 audi, but you'd need to pull the whole system out including wiring and such.

Thanks for the input. It pretty much sums up my feelings. It would be a cool car that would be unique, but I don't think its a good choice for a daily driver.
