Super Weird Electrical Headlight Switch Issue

I have an 07 A4 Sline with adaptive headlights. When the headlight switch is on 'Auto' position I get a dipped headlight error but everything functions. When the headlight position on any other position the error goes away. I proceeded to purchase a headlight switch from ebay( http://www.ebay.com/itm/321789049314...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT ) and replace the headlight switch (I purchased the same exact switch for my previous B6S4 and it functioned properly). Once installed the new switch the headlights stayed on no matter what position the switch was on (no dipped headlight error). I thought it was a defective switch. So I purchased a switch from ECS (https://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B7_A4....0T/ES2730572/) ...same result, headlights stays on no matter the position. Has anyone encountered a problem of this kind? Do I need to do anything with a Vag-Com when replacing the headlight switch?

I've noticed this when I purchased an eBay headlight switch...I just tossed it up to being defective. Check your leveling sensors at the wheels and make sure they aren't damaged (if you have xenons), also check the plugs underneath the steering column (I had one that was partially unplugged).

I bought one of those ebay switches and I didn't have a chime to remind me my lights were on. It also left my headlights on all the time..
