S3 cop cars?!

I passed a sepang s3 in exit ramp traffic today. I looked in my rear view and saw some lights in the grille and then heard some spool and he launched it out of the line. When I saw it from the back there was a police light bar in the rear window and it had the usual limo tints. Are cops using s3's in the US now?! I've heard they were in Europe a little but not over here

Lol what!.. What color was it? I can't see police shelling out for an audi in the usa, maybe chief of police..

That's what I thought. And as far as I know they have to buy American so they get a government grant or something. It was sepang blue with black optics, sport exhaust

There was an 08 RS4 listed for sale in my area not too long ago with super high mileage that the seller claimed was due to being a DEA car; no lights, but in a similar vein.

Maybe this guy is a fire chief or EMS with a good side gig?

Around my area volunteer firefighters have lights on the front of whatever they drive. Yet to see a Audi though

In CA only the police are supposed to have blue lights as part of their emergency lighting. But now we have these dopes and thugs running around with red and blue headlight "angel eyes" and I have yet to see the police stop them and write them for it.

Here in Ontario, a lot of the highway patrol have this type of stuff.

I have seen a Dodge Caravan and a Mercedes M-Class. More or less they cruise around going with traffic until the unsuspecting victim who is looking for the Ford Taurus or Explorer / Dodge Challenger. Here is an article from a few years ago...of course they don't tell you which...

I remember a few years back I was cruising at a good speed and come up behind a Chevy sedan looked lowered, chrome rims and blacked out tint. It wasn't until I came up beside him and he had his arm on the window with the good ol' OPP badge on his bicep that I was like haha...well at least I wasn't going that much over...

I disagree with volunteer firefighters getting lights but yes, I have heard the same. Think it may be a PA, NJ, DE thing

almost can guarantee that's him. looks like north NJ from the pics he showed and he was going north lol. Same lights too and he talked about tints. Definitely also had the res delete, it was quite loud

I don't know about it just being a PA / NJ / DE thing, but I can tell you that I had a full Whelan strobe setup on my old B7 A4, the Charger R/T that followed that and the Mk VI GTI after that one. I'm not a practicing EMT anymore, so the A3 doesn't have any lights.
